Danceroom eV was founded in 2011 under the name BodyControl eV by dancers of the same name and Andreina Luna Stollmeier. The idea at the time was to give the group a space so that they have the opportunity to develop their full creative ability and are no longer tied to times of youth centers. Courses were offered to finance the former premises in the Probsteigasse in Beckum.

Only three years after the founding of the association, the first great successes were evident. The demand of the offered courses was so high that among other things new formations were founded and thus the association changed its structures. Therefore, the association was renamed Danceroom eV and moved to the current premises on the cement road 112 in Beckum in the same year. In the same year, dancers from Danceroom eV and a group from Paderborn got together to participate in the casting show "Got 2 Dance" by Pro7 and Sat1. The group, which started under the name Danceroom, reached the semi-finals.

In 2017, they decided to follow up the requests from Ahlen and started to offer a course for kids in the open spaces of the old dairy. But also in Ahlen you had to expand the course offer promptly, as the demand from the Ahlen area was huge. So one also set up courses for teens and kindergarten children. Unfortunately, many had to be put on waiting lists at this time, as the courses were already crowded. After a long deliberation and inspection of various properties, we were able to open an independent location in Ahlen in the Kleiwellenfeld 1-3 in September 2018.

BECK' 2 SHOW

Also a success concept is the contest "Beck '2 Show", which is held by Danceroom.

In 2013, he was fed for the first time in the main office of Sparkasse Beckum. The ensuing contests were held in the Beckum Municipal Theater Filou.

At Beck'2 Show a well-known jury judges the participating groups and their performances. Here the show aspect as the most important evaluation criterion is in the center.
